Dr. Donald W. Hendon--- Background Data

 

Dr. Donald W. Hendon is Professor and Director of the MBA Program in the Malaysian Graduate School of Management at the University Putra Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. He is also President of an American-based management consulting and training firm, Business Consultants International. He joined the Universiti Putra Malaysia in May 1997 after teaching at several universities in the USA, Canada, Australia, and Mexico. He holds Ph.D. and B.B.A. degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. degree from the University of California at Berkeley.

Through 1996, he has presented 617 seminars, both for the general public and in company, in negotiating, business warfare, profit improvement, productivity, time management, salesmanship, sales management, new business technologies, the best of W. Edwards Deming and Peter Drucker, and general marketing and management. One Hong Kong firm, Jardines, made an extra $1.5 million within a week of attending one of his seminars by using his suggestions.

During the 1960s, he was in sales and marketing management for two consumer product firms, now known as Dial Corp. and RJR Nabisco. Since 1970, he has concentrated on two areas: consulting-training and university teaching. He has done hundreds of consulting jobs for clients, large and small, profit-making and not-for-profit firms in:

Dr. Hendon is listed in over 70 Who's Who-type books, including Personalities of the World, Men of Achievement, and International Directory of Distinguished Leadership. He is a member of more than 20 professional associations, including the Academy of International Business, American Marketing Association (for more than 30 years), Academy of Management, and Mensa (top 2% of the world's population according to I.Q. scores).
